The End of The Line

Posted on Sep 5, 2011 by in Aircraft 2011

This unhappy-looking 737 was built in early 1986, and first flown on February 11th of that year, and entered service with Southwest Airlines not long after. After 25 years of hauling passengers all around the country, fatigue, stress and age finally made this aircraft uneconomical to maintain. Consequently it is seen here being broken up at Paine Field, just 25 miles from where it was built.
